Posting 3: Wednesday, November 3rd

Yesterday you discussed neighborhood. Today, think about the following statement: You can tell a lot about a person by the house in which he or she lives. Do you agree with this statement? Why or why not? Explain your response with one example from your life. Remember to select "Anonymous" from the drop-down menu.

After responding to this question, read one other person's blog post and write a response to it.

I dont agree, one of my closest friends house lives in not that great of a house but shes still a great person. I dont think people should be judged just by what there living situtation may be.

I don't really agree with this statement, but I kinda do. You can't judge a person on what kind of house they live in. But you can kinda judge a person on how they take care of there house. For example, my room isn't the neatest, so I seem like I'd be lazy.

Anthony-

I don't agree with this statement. Sometimes when people houses are nasty and rundown it not always there fault. Sometimes they don't make enought money to affored a nice house or a decent house. For example a friend of mine lived in a house that was falling a part and it was in a bad neighborhood but they didn't act any differnt then a normal person.

I dont agree. I think that how a persons house looks has nothing to do with how the person acts and or what they look like.

I disagree because most people think if you live in a big house you are wealthy and if you live in a small house you are poor. I live in a small ouse and i am not poor and i have friends with really big houses that aren't rich.

No I disagree with this statement. For instance my dad lives in a house that is not all that great but he has a job and makes his own money for a living. A lot of people i know live in houses like that and have there own money and a job. Don't judge the book by it's cover.

It all depends on how you look at it I live in a house with a bunch of people like a 7, 3, and 1 year old so the inside of my house has toys skatered every where and the outside has toys skatered to so the house is prity messy all the time but we keep the house clen nine times out of ten.

I'd say not really. Say you had a budget that you could spend on a house, and it wasn't in the best nieghboorhood doesn't mean at all that you're a bad person nor a good one. My mom's house is not in a good nieghboorhood at all but i wouldn't consider my family to be a person.

I do agree,
Most of the time the attitude you have depends on the people you live with and how they act.

Well i think that it could be true and also not be true like lets say that a rich kid lives in a big house he is gonna act like he is above everyone else. But then there can be a kid that lives in a little crappy house and be the coolest and awesome kid ever but will still not have all the name brand stuff like the richer kid.

No i do not agree because Some people might have a bad house from the out side that might look dirty, but that doesnt mean that that person is nasty. The inside could be really nice and clean.

Cathy

I agree with you 100%

I dont think that you can tell a lot about a person where he/she lives in because they could live in a big beautiful house and they can be having money problems and barely even have enough money for food for there family. Or they can be living in an apartment and have a great and wonderful life and not have any problems and have lots of money but just dont want to be show offs. Like my aunt she has a nice gorgeous house but right now she is having problems with the bank and barely has money for the food all week.

no because the outside can be really meased with beer cans all over the place and dead grass all over the place but the person could be very nice and clean but they just may not have the time to clean it up. my neighbors where very nice but there house was meassed up only because they where old so they could not get out side and clean it up.

Austin do you have a example?

virginia

i disagree because you can't judge someone by the house they live in. i really agree with byron's response because even though you have the biggest house in town doesn't make you rich. Neither does it make you poor if you live in a trailer or whatev.

I agree with you Cathy.-Anthony

I disagree because you can't judge someone by the size or neatnest of there house. My room is a disaster so you would probly think that im lazy or sloppy.

Anonymous said...

the yard is part of the house

Anonymous said...

Austin

I don't agree because some people can't help what kind of house they live in.

I dont agree with this statement. Someone could live in a run down house in the middle of the hood in Gary and still be a nice person but if your white you would most likly get shot as soon as you walk out your front door....

Jacob that is very true-Anthony

Bryon I agree with your statement. My mom's house isn't the best house but we aren't poor.
